INSURANCE INFORMATION

It is important for you to verify your insurance coverage prior to your first appointment to see if they cover mental health / counseling services as well as to determine your financial responsibility. Insurance benefits are unique and individualized based on your contract between you and your insurance providers.

Sunflower Counseling Services does not determine your benefits nor eligibility.

Common questions to ask your insurance provider:

Do I have a copay?

Do I have a deductible?

Does my insurance coverage include therapy?

Do I have out of network benefits?

Is teletherapy covered under my plan?

Is there a limit on how many sessions I can have?

Do I have EAP benefits for therapy?

Most licensed therapists are in network with Cigna, UHC, Optum, Aetna and UMR at this time. You can see specific insurance coverage on the therapist's profile or call your insurance provider for in-network status confirmation.

*We currently do not accept any TN Medicaid or Medicare plans at this time.*

STANDARD THERAPY RATES

Should you wish to pay out of pocket or private pay, the standard rates with licensed therapists are listed below:

$150 for each 55 minute Intake session

$125 for each 55 minute Individual Therapy session

$150 for each 55 minute Couples/Family Therapy session

$200 for each 90 minute Couples/Family Therapy session

$125 for each 55 minute Group Therapy session

$150 for up to 55 minute Crisis Sessions

Sessions with pre-licensed therapists are available at reduced rates, see below:

$75 for each 45 minute Individual Therapy session

$105 for each 60 minute Individual Therapy session

$105 for each 55 minute Couples/Family Therapy session

$170 for each 90 minute Couples/Family Therapy session

$150 for up to 55 minute Crisis Sessions

*Sliding scale fees are available at therapist discretion and are based upon financial need of each individual client. Different rates may also apply for specific group therapy offerings.

CANCELLATION / NO-SHOW POLICY

We have set aside your session date and time specifically for you. If you are unable to keep you appointment, we require at least a 24 hour notice. Please contact your therapist directly to cancel/reschedule the appointment. You may also call the office in the event your therapist is unavailable.

If you are not able to provide adequate notice, there is a fee of $85 for therapy appointments and $50 for group therapy appointments.

OTHER SERVICES

Sunflower Counseling staff are available to provide different services such as business consultations, clinical supervision, as well as company/school trainings of relevant mental health topics.

Business Consultations

Interested in starting your own private practice? We are here to help guide and give support through the process.We offer business consultations that include a 45-50 minute initial consultation meeting either in person or via telehealth. Clinical Supervision

Heather Thomasson, LPC-MHSP, PMH-C offers clinical supervision for both individual and group hours for master level clinicians working towards their LPC-MHSP in the state of Tennessee. Submit a contact inquiry for additional details.
