Ready for a change? We are here to help.

We have a staff complete with multi-specialty therapy providers who have a variety of different backgrounds, training and clinical experience that are here to meet your needs. We offer both individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions. Teletherapy sessions are also available in addition to in-person therapy.

KAYLA ELZIE, Clinical Intern
 

Do you sometimes feel lost or alone? Feel that you may need help navigating your identity or embracing your true self? You are not alone and I am here to walk beside you on your journey. 

 

I have a passion and interest in working with the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent population, especially those with Autism, in an affirming and safe space. I am also interested in helping teens and adults navigate life and finding how to make their world work with their gifts. I can assist those who may struggle with anxiety, depression, stress management, and identity struggles. 

 

A Memphis native, Kayla received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Health Management from Union University. She is currently working towards her Master of Science in Social Work from Louisiana State University with anticipated graduation in 2024. 

 

In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with her partner and step-children, attending anime conventions, and snuggling her Labrador-Pitt mix, Stella. 

 

As a Master's Level Clinical Intern, Kayla works under the clinical supervision of R. Allie Coughlin, LPC-MHSP. Kayla offers appointments for both in person and virtual sessions on Thursdays and Fridays for a reduced rate of $35 per session. 

MARLENE SOTO, Clinical Intern
 

Brene Brown stated, "When we deny the story, it defines us. When we own the story, we can write a brave new ending." As a Clinical Intern, I want to walk alongside my clients and help them create a brave new ending to their unique life story. 

 

I have a strong passion and interest in working with both children, teens and adults as they navigate their own life’s journey. I provide a warm and empathic approach to help hold space for one’s own thoughts and feelings within the therapeutic atmosphere. I can assist someone who may struggle with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress management. 

 

Although a California native, Marlene received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2020 and is currently working towards her Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology at Chaminade University of Honolulu, Hawaii with anticipated graduation in 2024. In her free time she enjoys reading, spending quality time with friends and family, exercising, and playing with her Border-Collie mix dog, Dallas.

REGILYN KEYS, LPC-MHSP

I am a licensed mental health therapy provider that has dedicated my life to helping individuals and families in their journey towards healing. My passion is providing an empathetic and warm listening ear to people as they navigate life's struggles. As a therapist, I will focus on your overall well-being as my top priority. We will work together to help you express your emotions in a positive and healthy way. Through learning to express emotions and challenging unhealthy thought patterns, I truly believe that clients can bring meaningful change into their life.

As a therapist, I have encountered years of working with youth and families in a variety of mental health treatment settings. I have experience and professional training in the approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My major focuses are anxiety, depression, trauma resolution, behavioral concerns, and life adjustments for both children, teens, and adults.

My activities outside of the office hours include traveling, reading, spending time with my pets, taking photographs, and enjoying the natural beauty of the outdoors.

Regilyn is available for sessions Tuesday through Friday via telehealth or in person with limited evening openings. She is in network with Cigna and Aetna and will be paneled with other insurance companies in the near future. She also offers self-pay sessions at $85 for individual sessions.






 

 

 

 

 

 








   




KELSEY CAPRIO, MS, LPC-MHSP (TEMP)
 

Brené Brown once said, "Let go of who you think you're supposed to be. Embrace who you are."

I would love to walk with you on this journey of embracing who you are as an individual, and who you want to become. Healing is never easy, but you will never have to do it alone. I have a huge passion for seeing people heal and grow into the person they didn’t feel they could become. I strive to create a safe space for anyone who takes the courageous step to share their story with me, as I know this is not an easy ask from anyone.

I am a trauma-informed therapist who enjoys working with family dynamics, depression, anxiety, self-worth, healthy relationships, healthy coping, and trauma. I utilize aspects of SFT, CBT, and DBT to help you reach your therapeutic goals.

 

I graduated from Bethel University with a Bachelors’ degree in psychology and later received my Masters in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. In my free time, you will find me enjoying time with my husband or my little. We enjoy doing puzzles, reading books, and playing board games together.

I currently work weekday hours, both in-person and via telehealth, with children, adolescents, and adults. Currently I accept Cigna and Aetna insurance, or a private pay rate of $85 per individual session.

VENISHA "VEE" FREEMAN, MA

Have stressful life events left you feeling tired, anxious, or overwhelmed? Have you tried to make changes, but nothing seems to work? Is your child having struggles related to their identity, managing heavy emotions, or expressing their needs? If so, I am here to help. 

Venisha Freeman is a recent graduate from Palo Alto University (PAU) with her Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling.  Venisha has current treatment focuses and training for perinatal mental health, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is passionate about working with the BIPOC population, LGBTQ+ population, teens and young adults as they learn how to navigate life’s challenges and transitions. She's also dedicated to work with people as they navigate perinatal mental health struggles related to pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting skills. She has completed both the basic and advanced perinatal mental health training through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Vee has also completed training in EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) that allows her to take an approach with clients centered in existential therapy, systemic therapy and attachment theory. 

When not working, Venisha has a passion for words and the meanings behind them whether it be poetry, books, podcasts, or simply listening to others speak of their own life experiences. 

Venisha is working under the clinical supervision of Heather Thomasson, LPC-MHSP, PMH-C. She
is available to work with clients on weekdays in the afternoons and early evenings as well as Saturday mornings. She accepts Cigna and Aetna or offers a sliding scale fee of $65 per session.

R.  ALLIE COUGHLIN, LPC-MHSP

I would be honored to join you on your journey of self-exploration, self-love, and holistic freedom. All it takes is one phone call to begin the process to a happier and healthier you.

 

Allie guides her clients every step of the way and implement various methods to help them develop new attitudes towards all of life’s most complex matters. She has extensive training and history of treating survivors of trauma through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) therapy as well as training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and expressive arts therapy interventions.  Allie has a strong passion working with children ages 4 and older, as well as teens and adults to help heal from Trauma/PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, LGBTQ+ related concerns, and adjusting to major life transitions. Allie has also completed training in EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) that allows her to take an approach with clients centered in existential therapy, systemic therapy and attachment theory. 

 

When not working, Allie enjoys traveling and spends most of her free time with her family and toddler nephew.

 

Allie works weekdays offering both daytime and some early evening appointments via telehealth or in-person sessions. She accepts Cigna, UMR, UHC/Optum and Aetna insurances as well as offers private pay fee rates. Allie is currently not accepting new clients at this time.

LACY KEMKER, MS, NCC, LPC (LA)

Do you feel detached from your goals or feel like you’ve lost sight of what’s important in your life? Do you feel like you’re struggling to love yourself or separate yourself from narratives of what your life should look like?  Maybe it’s time to take a step towards finding your most authentic self?  Looks like you’ve come to the right place. Taking this first step can be scary, but I believe taking the leap can help an individual to grow in ways never before realized.

Lacy envisions the counseling relationship as an opportunity to collaborate with clients to reach their highest potential while achieving their goals . Lacy applies a strengths based approach where clients are challenged to recognize their own ability to reach their goals in a compassionate and safe space. Through her use of mindfulness and self-compassionate approaches, clients can learn the invaluable gift of acceptance and begin to grow into the best version of themselves.

Lacy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana working towards licensure in her home state of Tennessee. She is a two time graduate of The University of Memphis, earning Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and English and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Lacy has more than four years of experience in Mental Health Counseling and utilizing therapeutic modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has completed both the basic and advanced perinatal mental health training through Postpartum Support International (PSI).  has a passion for working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, low self-esteem, and the perinatal population.

When not working, Lacy loves spending time with her husband, two children, and bulldog at the park or watching anything Memphis sports related.

HEATHER THOMASSON, LPC-MHSP, PMH-C

Heather offers support from a client-centered perspective that includes positive affirmations, heavy emphasis on self-compassion, challenging of unhealthy thoughts, and building upon skills to allow you to live your best life. Heather has extensive training to promote trauma resolution through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) trainings. She is certified as a TF-CBT clinician through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). 

 

Heather has a strong passion for working with people as they navigate both pregnancy and postpartum adjustments. She works with fertility struggles, pregnancy loss and infant loss, in addition to perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Heather has specialized training as it relates to perinatal mental health counseling and is certified through Postpartum Support International (PSI) as a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor (PMH-C). Heather often works with first time moms, postpartum depression/anxiety moms, pregnancy loss, and parents who desire to 'Gentle Parent' both themselves and their children.

When not working, Heather enjoys spending her free time crafting, casually strolling the aisles of Target and playing with her two sons. #BoyMom

In addition to offering therapy services, Heather is also a Qualified Clinical Supervisor within the state of Tennessee and offers both individual and group supervision for counselors working towards their LPC-MHSP status. Heather typically works daytime hours on Tuesdays to Fridays via telehealth and in-person.
